Building on our foundation

July 1st, 2016, was the beginning of my second year at Sublette United Methodist Church.  Wow, the first year went by really quickly.  Most of the focus this year has centered on our current membership and building a strong foundation.  I especially am very grateful for the grace, patience, support, and love many of you have afforded me.   We are all challenged by what the future might look like at Sublette United Methodist Church.  I pray these very holy conversations will continue.

This year we will begin building upon our solid foundation.  My primary objective for the next year will be to discover how God maybe calling us, (as individuals and a community of believers), to demonstrate the example Jesus Christ provided while living with us on earth.  Why are we doing the things we do, how is God leading it, and how does it fulfill the great commission?

Matthew 28:19-20a

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.

In my own life, I have chosen to follow Christ.  I certainly don’t understand many of the challenges God places before me.  I do, however, trust God to be in all things.  The biggest and most difficult situations also prove to be the best blessing and miracles.

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

May you find God’s peace and joy in your life.
